I havn't really used MPE much and dont have much knowledge about its workings, however i have added a couple of phasers and cloaks etc to different ships. I've just added two more phasers, in exactly the same way as i have added the others and yet they dont work. Everything in MPE looks fine but when i get the ship in game, there is no phaser, im within range and have set the color etc but still no phaser. The only thing that I can guess might effect this is the fact the ship has alot of phasers and there is some limit on either a) the number of phasers or b) the number of phasers firing at any one time. I would greatly appreciate any help that anyone can provide. Thanx.

hmmm, well, actually, its alot more complicated then just sticking the phaser onto the ship, which ship is it and would you mind uploading the hardpoint so everyone could take a look?

Well, I can't tell you what's wrong because I can't see the hardpoint. Yes, there is a limit, but it's huge. Unless you have something like forty phaser banks, then you needn't worry.

Thanx for the quick replies. It appears as if i have solved my own problem ( a good sign im sure). I wanted the phasers to be fired from a point and not a strip. So I had set the Ellipse length and width to 0, which it seems will basically mean the phaser doesnt exist or summet; either way, by just setting a very small width and length I can acheive the same effect and get a phaser that works. Thanx again.
