I've wanted to say this for along time, so I'm just going to do it. As soon as I stepped into the modding seen last summer, I had noticed one thing. Trekkies can't spell or use proper grammer. Period. Well, ok, some of you can, but on average, about 50% of trekkies/modders can't. I'm not pointing fingers, all I'm saying is PAY ATTENTION IN YOUR LANGUAGE ARTS CLASSES!!! To those of you who already think your ideas through and check your spelling in word before you post, congrats! Youv'e probably guessed by now that this is an enormous pet peeve of mine, but here's another. Run-on sentences. Yes, that's right sometimes its hard to understand someone when reading a post especially when it just goes on and on and on and really needs a period somewhere in there so people who are reading it out loud won't suffocate or pass out and also so you can understand thier ideas instead of "help it doesn't work why won't it work it doesn't work help". Now take a deep breath. Please try not to hyperventilate. See what I mean? I just encourage you to proofread your work before you post, and think through your ideas before you go ahead and tell everyone. Thanks,

Iggy

adding to this. (note: this may sound harsh, but its something I can't stand.)

Please don't blame it on dyslexia or something of that sort, because you can do anything if you try.

/end rant

Speaking (well, writing) as a person without English as a first language, I try to do my best, but sometime I make errors. I have more or less given up the proper use of commas by now (English comma rules suck); here I just place them where I think they are needed. But I have to agree with Iggy. There are people out there who can't make readable sentences. To everybody: READ YOUR POST THROUGH, BEFORE YOU POST IT! (btw this post should be moved to the general announcement in the main forum)

You must know I know people (not on this forum though) that have dyslexia, and they are really trying to get things right when they write (I know one that takes 3 houres writing by hand, not using word, on a text of 5 lines, on a A5 page, and still making errors, he is using a dictonary).

Oh, well said Iggy!!! :D

I like to help people!! Nothing pleases me more than being able to help someone with a problem they may be having but nothing pisses me off more than reading through a post and going WTF????

How can you help someone if you have absolutely no idea what they said in their post?? And then they get grumpy when no-one will help them!! Amazing!!
