when installing jedi academy where do i type in the fs_game argument at?
if you are on windows, go to the run command and type:
"C:\Program Files\LucasArts\Star Wars JK II Jedi Outcast\GameData\jk2mp.exe" +set fs_game adminmod +exec autoexec.cfg +exec myserver.cfg
or something along those lines, you can delete the calls to the *.cfg files, so then you would have:
"C:\Program Files\LucasArts\Star Wars JK II Jedi Outcast\GameData\jk2mp.exe" +set fs_game adminmod
How in blazes do i get this mod to run on the Zone?
It's strange... because if I use the command line, it loads the mod wonderfully.
If I start up the game and Load the mod from the menu, it doesn't load my CFG file, and I get stuff like "Put your MOTD here" when i start a map, and the /am commands don't work.
What did I break?
well thats all fine and dandy if you load it that way, but if you want to get your motd and such from your cfg file, you must pulll the console down and type something like:
and you'll be set, hope that helps :lookaround:
Ok. so i cant execute it unless its during a match, because if I pull the console down in the main menu and exec it, it tells me it doesnt recognize the motd and welcome commands.
It works now, thanks
wait...if you're running it off of your computer then you should go in the SERVER CONSOLE (window with black background and yellow text) and in THERE type:
making sure to replace "myconfig" with the name of your config, let me know if that works (dont see why it wouldnt :p )
Um. its a non-dedicated server. I don't have a Server Console when running a non-dedicated game.
im not sure how exactly to do it, in that case... well, i could try to walk you through it; do you have aim or msn? (preferably aim)
well, it works, its just that i thought the academy.cfg file would execute itself automatically. now i just have to fire it manually when i start.
