Is there a way to watch the action covertly in duels as the server?
Sometimes i want to actually watch the action going on in my server (i.e. graphically) but not necessarily play, e.g. to watch lamers and such like, without them knowing I'm there.
Is this possible? If not, why not?

Hmm, As far as i know there hasnt been one created for a Quake 3 game, if you mean a stand-alone spectator mode that you can view from your desktop. It would definatly lag the server..a bit and to connect you you would have to be in spectator but your that just untick fullscreen and change the resolution and you have a small window in spectator to view your server, just change your name or somthing -this way you still have admin rights and can kick/ban/ Chang map :P.
when your ping is 6 or less its a bit obvious who is server/admin lol
c'mon modders, cant this be done?

Try making a dedicated server and just joining it like a normal player and go into spectator mode then tell anyone who suspects that your the admin that you just have the fastest connection or something. When i make a server that i can't go out of unless i shut down the server, it's at 0 ping, but when i join a dedicated server, it is like a normal server that i join, it has some ping. So if you join a dedicated server which is YOUR own, perhaps it will act like any other one that you join.
Do you think that might work.
If not that guy who makes Jedi Academy Mod Knows how to code well i think. Thats his name, cHoSeN oNe. Jedi Academy Mods quite impressive.
i'm running a duel server, so u automatically go into spectator mode
i'm on a network so my ping is always good, cos i play on one and serve on the other. i have an AMD k6 450mhz running the server amd a celeron II 633mhz (running at 791mhz) to play on, so I don't think either would handle running a server AND the game.
