here's the problem

I'm playing the single player: I have played a while and then the game...freezes...the screen freezes and the sounds start to repeat....nothing happens when I press ctrl+alt+delete or alt+f4... there's the same problem in the multiplayer (though it won't happen so often as in sp)

and there's more....when (in sp) movie starts the sounds go on a while but then the sounds drop out...

my computer passed the analyze thingy and the tests in directX diegnostics all were successful....so what is wrong?

I don't know much about these things, but it sounds like a sound card problem.

Well what kind do you have?

Also try shutting anything that is running in the background. Such as AIM, MSN Mess

What are your system specs?? I used to run JK2 on a P3 450Mhz with a voodoo3 card and it used to lock up like the way you described all the time. Basically if your system isn't very good you'll probably get these lockups.

I have..

AMD athlon /1.00 Ghz and windows ME and I should have enough space in Hard disk and stuff....I dunno about else...I'm really "not-so-good-or-bad" with computers....

I have tried to shut down everything that runs on the background... It still freezes....maybe I should change my sound card..

I don't know, my computer has that problem now and then, but only if there's a lot on the screen.

Try updating the drivers for your sound card.
