I wanna know, becuase my server hangs for no absolute reason. People get really good connections to it, average is about 150 or less, but after a few minutes, the server hangs, and everyone (exept ppl on lan like me) gets a 999 ping... this casues ppl to leave, and my clan, gets very frusturated with my server lol. eventually after a bout a minute of 999pings, the ppl come out of it, like nothing ever happened... they say they get a 'connection interrupted' on their screen when they get that 999 hang:mad: , I belive its my router, but am not 100% sure, and I wanna know if there is any way to make the game run at a specific port. Thanks

I don't think you can start the game at a specific map, but not at a specific point in a map.

I usually save after every signifact thing I do ;) that way should anything happen I can easily go back without losing alot of progress. It's a habit for me now, so save often and things should be good :)

Ok....contrary to what the other posters have said....and Im sure thier intentions were good...just not on the same planet.

Ok. You can set your port number. Rather than force you through alot of console, setup and cvar command settings, just do this:

A: Clink on this LINK B: Click on the Download Now link to DL Jedi Runner. C: Instal it, and use Jedi Runner to configure your server games. You can set your port number with this app.

*NOTE* Be sure that you disable your routers firewall for the port number of your JO server, as the firewall could be causing the connection issues.

Hmm I noticed that when I use jedi runner... the bug 'saber sheild' (whre saber spins around you) dont seem to work.. I love that bug lol.. anyway around this? I can live without it but .. still lol. and now I know how to make the game run at those ports... what ports can I use (that the game will accept)? lol I feel dumb

The game will run at any port you set it to. All you have to do is give people that want to connect your IP

if its on the LAN, then its your server's IP on the LAN, if you want to play over the 'net, the its the routers IP

just add the port numeber at the end

ex: 204.157.6.74:28000

hehe...thats the IP for my clan's home server...hehe...

most porst i notice are 28000 and up, so i guess somthing like that....it doesn't mater if the port is the same as another server, as long as its not on the same IP.
