Recently I have changed my operation system from Me to Win2000. My Jedi Outcast worked fine in Me, but as soon as I change it to Win2000, the game crash alots. What I mean crash is that the game would suddenly haut and the screen would freeze. No error message was prompted up, the game just hanged.
I have a PIII-500, 256MB rams, Geforce 256, Soundblaster Live. It work perfectly fine in Window ME with the minimum settings. Please, do anyone knows what's happen?
It might be your video card, that's quite an old one. Did you run 'Analyze Your Computer' on the JK2 splash screen? Did you re-install the drivers for the video card after upgrading to Win2K?
If this still fails DO NOT GO BACK TO M.E.!!! Personal advice.

Download the latest drivers from nVidia. I recommend the Detonator XP drivers, not sure if it will work on a GeForce 256 but you can do the investigating. Also, make sure you install windows 2000 service pack 3. Hope this helps!
For the last time, Detonator drivers work for all nVidia video cards. It's an integrated driver package.
Stay away from the Detonator drivers...
Attention All Those With Nvidia Cards! Hey guys, Anyone who has an nVidia card like a TNT2, GeForce anything, etc. should note that the recommended driver version is the 23.11 drivers, not the detonators listed as the "most current" on nVidia.com. When you go to the drivers page, you need to click on "Driver Archive" to get to the 23.11's. A list of all video cards supported and their recommended driver versions are in your Jedi Outcast/install directory in the trouble.rtf file...the troubleshooting guide.
