Normally when launch it for the first time it automatically sets up the association with windows. If not, then hold shift & right-click on a .pk3 file, then choose "open with", then check always use with this file type & point it to pakscape. Then whenever you click on a pk3 pakscape will open it, but I have to tell you I prefer winzip to pakscape. I have both associated in windows, but winzip is my default association because you can't always open files in .pk3 files with pakscape, but it usually works fine.
Hope this helps.
pacscape has the same function as winzip, exept its made to work wit pk3's, winzip was not, but it can still be used, the advantage of pacscape is that instead of a list of files, like in winzip, it gives u the folders, as if u were to extract the .pk3, or .zip.
how i uses it is like this: i have a shortcut, i click that, it fires up, then i press open file, and go to jk2/game data/base and pick a pk3 to work wit, or i click 'new'to make a new one if i have to.
