I have been wondering how you take screenshots in Jedi Outcast...multiplayer or single player...I have seen others show their screens on the internet and have been wondering how to do it.
...Also, how do you turn the camera in the game so that you can take shots of the front of your character.
For the screenshot:
Open the console (shift and ~ together) and type:
/bind j screenshot
Press the 'j' key to take a screenshot. Screenies will be stored in your 'base/screenshots/ directory. You can replace 'j' in the bind command to whatever key you want :)
For the character thing:
You need cheats enabled to get a good shot. To enable cheats, open the console and type /devmap ffa_bespin (replace 'ffa_bespin' with the map you want)
Then put the following commands in the console: /cg_thirdperson 1 /cg_thirdpersonangle 180 /cg_thirdpersonrange 50 /cg_thirdpersonvertoffset -15
This should place the camera infront of the character at a good height and distance away :) 'angle' controls the angle around the player.. 90 will be the right side, 270 the left side, etc. 'range' controls how far the camera is from the player, 80 is the default, smaller numbers move the camera closer 'vertoffset' moves the camera down. The camera is by default placed a little above the player so that the model is near the bottom, this moves the camera so the model is in the centre of your screen.
Thanks for the speedy reply and the info..I really appreciate it!
