Ok, I've been busy trying to make my elevator go back to its original possition while I an standing on it. But whatever I try, it does not work. It has something to do bout the NO_TOUCH but I have no clue on how to work that out.

Please, if anyone here knows how to make your elevator (func_plat) work in a way that it goes up if you step on it, and than goes down again in a few seconds without leaving the platform, tell me.

Let me know all the keys and key value's you used to accomplish it. I'm absolutly stuck here. Peace tried to help me out, but he had as much success as I did.

I really want to know that too!

So far, I've found the only thing that'll do that is a func_door. But I can't get it to work right because I can't control how high it goes, as a results it goes through the ceiling!

As far as I know, func_plats will not return to it's starting position as long as a player is in contact with any part of it. I haven't tried in some time though...

yea, but there are original maps included in the game that do have those lifts, I think I came across one or two off those in the single player game.

Ohhh.. are you doing this in SP?? In SP I'm sure it's possible (I just don't know hehe.. ) but it's probably done with some scripts.

AFAIK this is not posible in HM. this was done with scripting in SP. If you do Figure it out you will be hailed by mappers world wide as this is the "holy grail" of EF mapping. we all want an elevator to do this.

At this moment I do know how to use this door funcion, so that an elevator is created. It will go down again while I am still standing on it:dance: :dance: :dance: :dance: :dance: Or is this not what you mean? I found it in a tutorial, and no it is not the plat function. It is the door function, and using several target textures it is possible to make an elevator go up and down again, while you are standing on it.

I believe by setting the "wait" key to any number of seconds you override the platform waiting until you get off before it returns to its starting position.
