Hello, To start off... I have NO IDEA WHAT I'M DOING. I want to start making mods. I've had ideas floating around in my head ever since I saw my first mod (Gladiator) and then my interest spiked even more when I saw the two new specialties in the Federation Mod. I'm a big fan of specialties. I usually play on Green Destiny's. But I've always wanted to add a new specialty or modify the existing ones (like giving the medic something shoot back with, increase the amount of tripewire grenades a demo can place, giving the sniper more ammo, etc, etc). I've also had this "Realism" mod idea where everyone would get a certian set of Federation weapons (like Phaser, IMOD, Rifle) and then they could duke it out like that. But anyways, I have the ideas, but no idea where to start. I've never done this before. I've never talked to someone who has. I don't know what programs I need. How difficult (or easy) it is. And all that stuff. Any help would be greatly appreciated :)

I'm afraid I've never gone much in the coding side of EF, but that is where you need to go to do all you want :)

However, neural link has a pretty neat (though small) tutorial on an intro to the EF code: http://dynamic5.gamespy.com/~thesynapse/compiling.php (neural link is the guy who created Team Elite for EF1) he has some links to further coding sites in the Notes section of that tutorial. I've actually tried that tutorial and it wasn't that hard to do :D
