can anyone tell me how i can make a sniper scope for Elite Force or where to find a tutorial?

If you want to model one, use Milkshape, but you proberely ahve to do the whole gun. If you want to make a texture for one look in the Elite Force .pk3 files, copy the picture files, edit them, pk3 them and it should work.

Um neither, i want to do a scope, ye know like the "Official Space Explorers Scope Pack"

Why not look at one of those scope pk3's and see what's done there?

thats the thing, i look at them but i cant see how they did them, on one of the scope back i downloaded the main image was compleatly red!

The secret of that lies in the Alpha channel. If you have Photoshop (or some other program similar to Photoshop), you can see the alpha channel of the image. An alpha channel controls the translucency of an image. If the alpha channel is black, the image is shown as 100% transparent. If the alpha channel is white, the image is 100% opaque. Different gray values represent different levels of opacity.

The TGA image is then combined with a shader to make the actual transparent bits show. (you might see a .shader file in the pk3, this shader activates the alpha component).
