I know how to create a teleporter, thats easy enough, but I'm trying to figure out how to create a teleporter that is triggered by a button. ie: the transporter won't work until you hit the button.

I have tried putting the trigger underneath a 'door', which into the trigger....which should hopefully then transport whoever is standing on the 'door'.

That didn't work.

I know Nukem uses a lot of transporters like that in his level, but I can't figure out how.

Dammit, nevermind, it worked THAT time.

Anyways, is there a way of doing it without having a door in the floor?

Just being telelported by pressing a button for instance?

It's quite easy! Make a panel that you want to server as console to be used and make it a func_usable, press "n" to edit the settings. Tick the always_on box If correct a new line below will appear that looks like this (without quotes) (Key: spawnflag Value: 8 ) Then add the following lines below: (Without Quotes) Key: "wait" Value: "2" (Time in seconds to wait, also 0.5 is allowed etc, negative amounts aren't) Then simply aim it on a target_teleporter (NOT a trigger_teleporter!!!) And make the target_teleporter aim on a target_position! If you want to do the same with a button that can: 1) Either be used with Space (Like inventory) 2) Either be used by shooting it (Health) Make a func_button with the following settings angle : "0" or "360" for Rotation or "-1" for down and "-2" for up (up to you ;)) wait: "2" If you want your Button to be shootable, give it the following Setting!!! if not, skip this part! health: 1 (1 means it can only be shot once, 2 indicates it can be used endless but requires to take 2 damage to react first) Then aim the func_button to a target_teleporter which aims on a target_position!!! And then, :beamme:

Also, NEVER use trigger_teleport for transporters IT SUCKS :P Use trigger_multiple aiming on target_teleporter -> target_position instead, much easier and more useful!

Why is target position better than teleporter?
