i installed EF1 cuz i wanted to get it back on my computer, and i restarted, and i came back to click on it, ad it comes with a black box that says "STAR TREK VOYAGER ELITE FORCE" (like usual) and then that disappears, but when the console where it loads all of that stuff in that little box and goes into the game is supposed to come up, nothing happens. I checked in the baseEF file, and the only thing thats in there is something called pak0.pk3. i think there shuld be more than that...

PLEASE help. i dont think its because i have EF2 installed (which i do), but is that possibly why? does EF2 take over certain files from EF1?

Try starting it from the game folder. Go to Run and then browse and find stvoy.exe. If you installed it to the default directory, it would be C:\Program Files\Raven\Star Trek: Voyager - Elite Force\stvoy.exe. If you installed the original EF1 and not the expansion pack, pak0.pk3 should be the only pk3 file in the BaseEF folder. If nothing still happens, maybe you should try uninstalling and reinstalling it again.

YESSS!! UR MAKING THE MIRROR UNIVERSE HAZARD TEAM!! THANK YOU!!

back to the subject. I installed the expansion pack, and when i plug the expansion pack cd in, it has the option of sp, holomatch, reinstall, uninstall, and demos. When i hit sp, the same thing happens: title screen, and then nothing. when i hit holomatch however, it works. remember, this is on the expansion cd thing.

ive uninstalled and re-insalled a million times, and still nothing happens. it doesnt work from the folder either.

o and by the way, where do these threads go after deletion?

Hmm... that does sound like a bit of a problem. Have you tried installing it to a different folder? Sometimes Windows likes to be fussy that way. Sometimes I think MS purposely places bugs in their OS's just to get people to buy the new versions. Sometimes when you uninstall something, it leaves files behind in the old folders. If you install it to a different folder, like c:\games\ef1\ for instance, it will work. Maybe.

A little off topic, but do you want to join my mod team? Whatever you can do would be a help. I could even use a press release person if you're not into modding.

Anyway, hope that helps. Good luck trying to get EF1 to work.

I have had that problem too. And I think that it is because your computer (and mine) are incompatible for the main game. :p
