That will let me plop in a .pk3 and view a model from all angles? I want to do some desktop backgrounds, and I want to get views of Janeway, Paris, etc. I'd need to be able to zoom in and out to get facial close ups and stuff. So, basically just a program where I can rotate a model all the way around and zoom in and out on it. HELP!

MilkShape is a pretty good program for that kind of stuff. I'm sure there are better programs out there, but try MilkShape. You can download it here on EFFiles. Here is a link: http://www.effiles.com/file.info?ID=2407

This is EXACTLY what I need, except...

How do I open a .pk3? I went to "open" and it asked for a .ms3d file. Then I went to "file" and saw the "import" menu, but it doesn't offer an "Elite Force PK3" Option. I tried "Quake III Arena", but that's MD3. Maybe do I have to unpact the PK3, and if so, how?

A PK3 file is a ZIP file, case closed :) Just change the exstesion and extract the files :) then put the files in a new PK3 (zip)

Sorted :D

well, sure nuff. BUT...

The model just has this silvery skin. Can't it apply the in-game texture? As I said, this will be used for artwork, so Janeway needs to look like herself, not the ghost of Janeway.
