Hello -

I'm having an odd problem that maybe one of you can help me to identify and fix. On my partner's computer (PIII 650MHz running win2K with a PCI Voodoo4) the sky textures are suddenly scrambled in EF, but not in Quake or other 3D games. It was working fine for quite some time, and then after we installed some mods one day it started freaking out. Since then, we've tried uninstalling EF and the video card and Glide and then reinstalling everything from scratch (with no mods), and we can't seem to solve the problem.

Anyone seen this, or have an idea what causes it? How can we fix it? We're getting tired of playing indoors-only maps!

Thanks in advance for your replies,

ZAP

I Don't know if this will solve your problem, but, have you recently downloaded or installed a later version of DirectX (Version 8.1 or above)? That could be it, or, try getting the latest drivers for your Voodoo4. (I can't say this will work, but the 'get the new drivers' seam to solve most problems involveing graphics.):assimilate:

I already had DX 8.1 installed, so no I haven't updated it since. And I did try the latest drivers for my card (which turn out to be the same ones that had always worked before). Good suggestions, but I think something else is going on here.

Strange. I had a problem like yours and drivers did the trick. I wish i could help more. I suppose you could try turning the graphics down and lowering hardware acceleration in control panal. sorry :)
