Ok, for the whole time I've been playing ST:V:EF, I've been using "high" graphics, I then realised there was "very High" graphics and tried them. I was able to go through map VOY2,VOY3 and VOY4 with no problems, then after that anu level I played would freeze the computer afterwards and I would have to reboot. I beleve if I had a better Video Card that I may be able to play on Very High full time, could there be a way to play on Very High by switching other stuff?

Comp. Specs: Windows 98 SE Intel Celeron Processor 466 MHz 64 SDRAM

Main Video Card using: ATI XPERT 98 PGI

Video Card installed when got computer: Intel 815

If anybody knows of a way for me to regularly reactivate and disactivate my video cards(Ati allows me to play Armada, Intel may allow me to play Very High and allow me to play my BC game.) so I can play my games please tell me.

It's not your graphics card its you processor it weak I'm surpirse you got your self even that far with out skips or glitches. Any way yes there is. First try lowering your screen resolution, that itself will take off heavy stress off your computer. if that fails, turn of light flares dynamic lights sinc evrey frame and turn on simple shaders and compressed textures, and make sure your texture filter is on bilinear. And if it still fails turn you color depth as well as texture quality to 16 bit. Note thats the best you can do. HOWEVER there is one latter level on a borg cube (the one where seven of nine joins you) youll walk in to a BIG room I'll tell you this right now even if you did evreything i said i still think youll start skiping so turn down very high when you get to that level. After wards you can turn it back up.

If you really want quality, get a better computer. Mine 1.8 gegaherdz thats roughly 4 of your computers combined and i have 1 gegabyte of ram. I can turn evreything to the top and still have room to put my resolution on 1024 by 768 :) now im not saying go out and buy a 2000 dollar computer, but if you want quality and you have the money I suggest you go with a 1.5 gegaherdz with itleast 500mb of ram. That I think you can put evreything on the top most quality.
