Hey, folks...

Been a long time since I've played SFCIII, so I recently had to reinstall it...

...wanted to mod some ships, but forgot some stuff... (how to add the "hidden" points, change firing arcs, etc.)

Anyhow, there used to be a tutorial out there, but can't find it now... Anyone know where I can find it?

Also, there was another utility that allowed one to easily 'click and drag' weapon locations, as well as appearance in the tactical display... What/where is that one?

THANK YOU!!!

Yes, it was D'Deridex's program...! But looking over the site, I can't seem to locate it... will search it some more.

Also, I already read your tutorial on adding ships, but actually, all I was trying to do was add the "hidden weapon points" and change the arcs...

...for example, I remember the Defiant had 2-3 more points that weren't visible, but could be added so to be 'active' in the game. In fact, the tutorial I'd read actually used the Defiant as the example...

do you know which it might've been?

thanks

I think what you want to do is edit the DefaultCore text file in the Specs folder. This file determines, among other things, the number of primary and heavy weapons and their firing arcs.
