Hi it's me again I have a new map for conquest but could someone tell me how to add it to the game Help
In the MetaAssets folder, the maps are right there, just name the new map the same as the one you want to replace (Go to the Assets\Scripts\Campaigns folder and inside open the "FederationConquest.mct" in Wordpad, the name of the map it's using is near the top, you'll see it, that's the map that that campaign uses). You wouldn't mind sending me the map would you, I stink at map making and been wanting a map that would include the Cardassians on it..... :deal:
no, don't replace any maps.. that's the idiots way out. Go into the /Assets/Scripts/Campaign folder, find the .mct file you want to change, they are easily recognizable. Change the map name there
That's almost exactly what Greenvalv said, Victory... Also, bu sure to cange the KlingonConquest, RomulanConquest, and BorgConquest.mct files as well as the FederationConquest, or only the federation will be able to use the new map...
Yes, but green said to overwrite the maps that are there. if you over write the maps, and then there's a problem, you'd have to reinstall the game to get the stock maps back, they arn't included with any patch. If you always have the stock maps as a base reference, then if you run into a problem you can switch back.

Heh, well, you can probably think about it without anything going wrong...<thinks about modding and every game file corrupts.> Alas that is advice a I learned a too late; I've been working on my "In a Mirror, Darkly" mod, and now, of course, the stupid game won't read my Andromedan Annihiliator specs...
Look at every letter/number, I find the smallest of errors escape me.....
Easier said than done....I'm NOT looking forward to this.... BACK ON TOPIC: Mind if I have a look at the map, I may want to include it in my mod.
