Okidoky, right after I upgrade to Win/2000 and install Gmax I'll start doing kitbashings and then start making models from scratch. For my first idea, I was thinking about a better Corona model. A more of a Nebula to Galaxy, Corona to Sovereign look. Instead of Steamrunner class nacelles, it would have regular Sovereign class nacelles. Does anyone have a hint, shortcut, word of encouragement, or anything they want to say to a potential modeller?:D

I'm not a modeller, just one hell of a fan. Capt. Dawg was able to do the kitbash, and I'm trying right now to create the VL and TI images, and if I get a working copy of 3DS Max that I can use the plugins for, I'll be able to make an even later refit of the Connie class. It's a kitbash of 3 of WZ's connies, and it's looks pretty damned good if you ask me. You said you were installing GMax. Are there any plugins for that one to import/export .mod ships? The plugins I have can only work in 3DS Max 4 and 5 I think.

Oh, as for the Constitution we're doing, it's not ready yet, but Capt. Dawg has posted a few shots of it on sfc3files.com that made it into the PotD posts, and one of them is the one I made the BS image of.

[QUOTE2=Daihak]I'm trying right now to create the VL and TI images[/QUOTE2] I found it extremely easy to use the Taldren Model Viewer to get the images. [QUOTE2=Daihak]You said you were installing GMax. Are there any plugins for that one to import/export .mod ships?[/QUOTE2] No, I'm probably going to have to use the milkshape plugins for that.

I thought the plugins were just for 3ds max 3 and 4. Does anyone know if there's a plugin to export .mod files with 3ds max 6 or gmax?

The most updated version of 3DS Max that has .mod importer/exporter plugins is 3DS Max 5.
