First, ask Activision for the source code... next, program like heck... the first is unlikely to ever happen so you'll have to edit the weapons already in the game.

For example, Override the Sovereign's Phaser and see what happens.

So I can't copy, paste, and rename an exsisting weapon to make a new one?

So Green if i get you right it is also impossible to take an existing weapon and boost the power output of that weapon and then call it a class 20 ?

The odds of getting the source code from Activision in my opinion, are'nt that good. Which leaves the option of editing existing weapons. Green is by far better at this than I am, but maybe I could get with him and Fallen and we could put together some tutorials like I made for modding in BC.:)

Yeah, there's a whole bunch of stuff that can be edited (i.e. textures, descriptions, names, etc.). Located in the CommonSettings and Strings folders... you'll have to do some hunting in the Strings to find the weapon descriptions, but I know they're in there as I've edited them myself. ;)
