Okay, I've got a problem. I've had some ideas for TMP era ships, but I don't know how to make them. I'm hoping that someone could tell me how to kitbash ships or point out a good guide on how to make them. Any help will be greatly appreciated.

What program (or programs) are you using? I just typed up a rough guide to kitbashing in 3ds max 4 last night at www.dynaverse.net You can find it here It's the 12th reply.

I'm using Milkshape and gmax. I can't afford 3dsmax right now.

Good. Most things that will work in 3ds max will also work in gmax.

Okay, I found your tutorial and I'm now attempting my first kitbash, wish me luck. Hopefully it'll turn up good, if it does I'll post some pics of it here.

All right, I have a problem. I've gotten part of it done in gmax and I want to get it into to Milkshape, but I can't what plugin for gmax or Milkshape do I need?

Here are the plugins for Milkshape http://www.swissquake.ch/chumbalum-soft/ms3d/download.html I don't remember what types of files gmax will export to without plugins. Mine will export to .3ds, but I think I downloaded a plugin for that. I just searched for a .3ds export plugin, but I couldn't find one. If you can export to .3ds, I would recommend you do that and then import it into Milkshape so you can export it as a .mod file.

My copy of gmax only exports to .P3D. How do you put plugins in gmax anyway?

In the gmax folder on you hard drive, there is a folder called "plugins". Just place your plugins in that folder to install them.
