Alright, so i've made an entirely new weapon in WeaponItems.gf, and added the proper strings to it, but I'm not sure how to have the weapon use some custom textures and which icon to use for the 'refit screen', :/

Adding weapons can only be done in Bridge Commander. Adding a weapon to Sfc only replaces the weapon you copy and pasted from, I've tried it already, and all it did was mess up my game.

How do you change a function of a weapon? (i.e, the Tachyon Pulse disables warp, Myotronic Beam disables weapons,etc...)

I found a workaround to my problem anyway, thanks tho. ;)

Now, my last question (hopefully). How do I allow freighters to be selectable? :/

Copy and paste their specs in the DefaultCore, and then make them frigates (Or whatever you want them to be), do this by changing the F (Freighter) to FF (Frigate)............ 30 F 500 15000 500 5000 200 5000 32000 2059 Fed-Freighter FedFreighter PrimaryHP:1:0_360:2:330_30 HeavyHP:12:330_30:13:330_30 HullHP:1:2:3 BridgeHP:1:2:3 ship Mines:0:0:0 Marines:1:5:3 Shuttles:1:2:1 30 FF 500 15000 500 5000 200 5000 32000 2059 Fed-Freighter FedFreighter2 PrimaryHP:1:0_360:2:330_30 HeavyHP:12:330_30:13:330_30 HullHP:1:2:3 BridgeHP:1:2:3 ship Mines:0:0:0 Marines:1:5:3 Shuttles:1:2:1 Also, be sure to make it FedFreighter2 as shown above. And remember to copy and paste the line of specs in the DefaultLoadOut and change the FedFreighter to FedFreighter2.

What was the workaround? I was trying to do the same thing the other day.
