Not sure whether anyone can help. I am adding the Starbases into the Skirmish mode. Problem is, the enemy ships will just fly right through you. They don't do this if you play as the Borg Cube (another large ship). Something keeps them from wanting to fly into you... Question: Does anyone know what that is? And how can I apply this to the Starbases? :uhm: Many thanks. Voyager99

What you need to do is open your Assets/specs/DefaultCore.txt in your SFC3 Directory. The starbase specs should be similar to This (Federation): 60 SB 1800 45000 1800 10000 20000 10000 32000 Fed-Starbase FedStarbase PrimaryHP:1:330_30:2:30_90:3:90_150:4:150_210:5:210_270:6:270_330 HeavyHP:12:0_360:13:0_360:14:0_360:15:0_360:16:0_360:17:0_360 HullHP:1:2:3 BridgeHP:1:2 ship Mines:0:0:0 Marines:20:40:25 Shuttles:2:4:2 Klingon 60 SB 1800 45000 1800 10000 20000 10000 32000 Klingon-Starbase KlingonStarbase PrimaryHP:1:330_30:2:30_90:3:90_150:4:150_210:5:210_270:6:270_330 HeavyHP:12:0_360:13:0_360:14:0_360:15:0_360:16:0_360:17:0_360 HullHP:1:2:3 BridgeHP:1:2 ship Mines:0:0:0 Marines:20:40:30 Shuttles:2:4:2 etc... For each one, change the part that just reads ship to ship:planet to enable collisions on that vessel. Don't worry, the bases will still be playable.

Fantastic!!! Thanks a lot, that works. :bows:

It also means that I have a spherical haze around the starbase as well, like the planets do (which is cool) but if I wanted to get rid of the haze, is there any way to do this too?

Many thanks again.

The game now thinks that it is a planet, so the haze is an atmosphere. The only way to remove it also removes it from the planets. Go to your [Game Directory]/Assets/textures folder, and find the file called Atmosphere.bmp. Open it in a graphics program, such as paint or photoshop, and make it all black. The game views black as transparent, so the "haze" will be gone.
