I would really like to increase the amount of starbases being built. I'm playing Federation Conquest Single PLayer. There is a file that can be altered, the "metaassets serverprofiles singleplayer economy file". I tried some stuff and it did not really have effect. Like altering the chance a starbase would try to get built, or whatever.
I would like to know what exactly the kind of modifications could be for this "problem". Thanx...:bows:
Supplemental: i want the bases to be built faster... I want my territory expanded aswell, and fill it up with starbases. And also, some romulan sectors are now federation because of the battles been faught, but i cant place any star base? How is this possible? Can I edit this anywere?
Though I don't really know how to do the first, the latter you have to get the map editor to increase territory, number of starbases, planets, shipyards, etc., here. For the first, read the attatchment. It should be in there somewhere.:lookaround:
Thanx for the editor...i'll figure it out.:bows:
Only the attachement i can not read, another kind of encoding?
Download a program called WinRAR. That's all you need. Sometimes WinZIP can unzip .rar files.
At first, thanx for the attachment, the guide is full of (very usefull) information:D . But now I regret to have problems with the mapeditor, graphical problems. It doesn't show good on screen, all scrambled up. I don't know why... And I cant find the original map, that i'm playin' on (Federation Conquest), to edit? :(
Ok, to cure the graphical problem you need to grab it with your mouse (click on the screen, other than the hardpoints, once to move it). Then, drag it out of screen and drag it back, do not let it go. That ought to refresh the graphics. And the map thing, look at the Federation Conquest .gf file in the campaign folder here: C:\Program Files\Activision\Sfc3\Assets\Scripts\Campaigns, to find out which one your looking for. Any other map your looking for, look for the gf file with the matching name.
Okiedokie...i'll be busy on that:naughty: :bows:
I was busy on it, and I did find the .gf extension-files, only the graphical problems still exist with the mapeditor...even with your advice:cool: . Even when I shut down some other programs:mad: . I'll go and have a  then...:uhoh: And think.
