I have a conundrum...

I notice that my AI won't fire the SHIELD INVERSION BEAM when equipped. I can fire it no problem and I can see it charging fine on the AI ship but the AI just won't use the weapon. Any thoughts?

EDIT: As an after thought, I'm wondering if maybe the values I changed in the WeaponItem.gf might be the reason why, not sure though. So as to not have to reinstall the game, can someone give me the original values? This is what I have:

[HeavyItems\SHIELD INVERSION BEAM] Description = "SHIELD INVERT" Cost = 250 Mass = 150 Health = 60 Energy = 0.5 Damage = 15.0 Race = "FB"

For those who would like to help, but not sure where to pull this up at - right click on the SFCIII icon/properties/findtarget. Then open Assets/CommonSettings/WeaponItems.gf. Scroll down to the bottom of the page to copy the information - thanks.

I did a fresh install with "patch" and noticed that even the out-of-box with the patch won't fire the Shield Inversion Beams. Guess I never noticed before now. Apparently, this weapon is intended for the player only and not the AI - like the Anti-Matter weapon.

If I'm wrong, someone please tell me, cause I've never noticed until now.

Anyone doing a search and you come to this page here is your answer:

The Anti-Matter Minelayer and Shield Inversion Beam are user controlled only. Presumably, a weapons hard-coding disables AI from using either weapon. All other weapons can be accessed by the AI.
