It's either your processor or RAM. I've got 500 MHZ and 526 RAM and it still slows for me.

Klingon disrupters are especially tough on slow video cards, your 64MB card is barely enough to run the game. May I suggest upgrading to a 128 card. you can also try over clocking your card, with an NVidia it's easy, however you have to be very careful with doing that because your card can over heat and destroy your system. A quick fix will be turn down your Partical Density and Level of Detail in your options menu. Obviously if you turn it down too far the graphics get very poor, so you will have to find a ballance.

I run a NVidia Geforce FX 5200 128 MB. Although the 64 meg will run it fine, you just need to tweek a few things to smooth it out some

Go by an ATI Radeon 9600 Not too expensive, and it is able to run even advanced games like Half Life 2

Either one is not too bad in cost. I only payed $99 for mine and I could have gotten a Radeon for the same price. I just had experience with NVidia so I knew how they worked.
