Is there anyway to load up another mod with the JA mod??
1)get the mod out of the zip file 2)open the folder 3)drag out all of the files into base 4)put the other mod into gamedata 5)run jk2 6)load the mod and the other mod will be loaded as soon as you start
anything that goes into base loads strait away in gamedata you have to load it
Actually, no there is not.
First off, NEVER mod your base game unless it's a sound or weapons mod, but NEVER a server/client side mod.
Secondly, only 1 .qvm file is going to be used. If you run the game out of base, it will be a base game (or whatever mod you put in there). If you run it out of the other mod folder, it will be using the server .qvm for that folder.
Even if it could work, do not EVER do that. The game was not intended for that type of gameplay & you *may* do some damage. Nothing too bad, but you may corrupt you configs or who knows what so I HIGHLY RECOMMEND you do not do that.
What 2 mods are you trying to put together & why?
Well ok nobody liten to what i said thanks for telling me why you can't do that. Everyone has been saying it does not work so i guess thats the risk.
But i did do it once or twice and it worked thats all as long as they have different files like one has a .qvm file and another does not but has a different file instead as tho it's one big mod but is really two.
It would help to answer it if you said which mods they were, Certain ones may work and others may not depends.
No mods can do that. You can use weapon or sound mods in conjuction with other mods, but not mods like JA with Duelers or something of that nature.
.qvm (Quake Virtual Machine) files are the heart of the mod. When you edit the code, make whatever changes you want the mod to do, then compile it, the .qvm file is what is made. You CAN NOT have 2 .qvm files going at the same time, it's like trying to make 2 VHS tapes work in the same VCR deck - you just can not do it.
Trying to load 2 mods is like trying to divide by 0. Either the world ends or your brain melts, and it's bad either way.
It competely messed up my computer when I tried to swap the ForceMOD grapple with the OmniMod grapple. Pressing the grapple key was basically "ending your Windows session" ;)
Ending your Windows session, ending existence, whatever. ;)
