Well, Xenomorph closed the thread just when the Flame Wars died down. I mentioned in the first 'A Mistake?' thread the following:

1) The young and master obi-wan kenobi had green (or maybe blue) eyes. I'm siding with green. But it doesn't matter. However, the old obi-wan 'Ben' kenobi had brown or maybe black eyes! OMG, how can Lucas make such a glaring mistake? Sure, faces might differ since they're two actors, but at least they look almost the same. But eye color differences? This is not forgivable.

I don't know about you, but I think people usually look into a character's eye when they are shown on screen. Unless, of course, that character is Darth Sidious (or Palpatine, where the eyes are just too sickly to look at.). :)

2) Lightsabres emmiting light. Lightsabres DO cast light on objects. Look at Yoda. When he activated his lightsabre, parts of him glowed green. Yet, Dooku does not glow red. Only Yoda. and only Yoda's shadow is affected by the lightsabre. And the floors didn't glow as well when Anakin held his sabre pointing down. JK2 has lightsabres casting lights on the ground, and affecting the shadows, though.

I know, the second mistake is minor... the first one is a big mistake.

Please, NO MORE 'nonsense' like "This is not a big mistake, so, stop wasting your time on this." and other similar stuff. I want your opinion or thoughts on WHY such a mistake is made, for whatever reason. That's it.

Discuss.

DO YOU WANT TO GET YOURSELF BANNED?

If a moderator closes a thread down, it stays closed down. This one I am going to close down myself. Do it again & I'm pretty sure any administrator will approve banning your account without a second thought.

If you want the thread re-opened, talk to Xenomorph, he's the one that closed it down. If he doesn't have a problem with it then neither do I, but do not EVER restart a thread another moderator closed down please.

If he does decide to re-open the thread, just have him (or I can do it) move your last post to the old thread, then we can just delete this thread.

If you are not sure on how to get in contact with him, you can press the PM button on any one of his posts, or perhaps you can email him. If you can email him there will be an email button in the same place as the PM button is or it will be listed on the staff page.

hey, why did you close thisone? why do you not let him talk about mistakes he noticed in StarWars? he wasn't really able to talk about this cuz everyone just attacked him and finally closed the thread!

I want your opinion or thoughts on WHY such a mistake is made, for whatever reason. That's it.

that's all!! why not let him talk about this? why not let him talk about the second thing? he just wants to talk about this! plz let me reopen this thread or do it yourself.

I think the caster and all the other StarWars crew didn't notice the mistake. I'll check the lightsaber glow again.

You've been here awhile Obi so I'm surprised to hear this from you, but Xenomorph closed the original thread down, he did it for a reason, you don't go re-starting a thread on the same topic when a moderator closes it down. Whatever the problem was in the first one might happen again in the second one which is why a moderator closes it down in the first place. If the moderator felt that whatever the problem was was solved, he probably wouldn't have closed it down, but Xeno did.

Believe it or not, I don't like it anymore than you do, but the thread stays closed unless Xenomorph or one of the administrators says otherwise. Speaking of which, I think I'll just ask Pro-Filer on this situation, because to tell you the truth, now I am starting to get upset about this whole thing. It's so much more trouble than it's worth.

I'm a man of equality. I want to give WJTW a chance to talk about this on this forum. I read the first thread, and I know that it lost controle. so I completely agree to the fact that it had to get closed. but this thread is different. as I already quoted,

I want your opinion or thoughts on WHY such a mistake is made, for whatever reason. That's it.

. he's even regretting hoe he reacted. plz give him a second chance. and what about the second thing (lightsaber's glow etc)? ok, he can start an extra thread about thatone... Please give him another chance. if the same problem as seen in the first thread appears, it will get closed at once. btw yes, it IS much trouble. you're right.

suggestion for WJTW: try starting a thread like this at lucasforums. that might be good.

First of all, do not re-open this thread. If you want to stay as a moderator, I suggest you do not continue to re-open threads other moderators have closed, or step on other moderators toes in any other fashion. Xeno closed the first one down, I am respecting his wishes & closing the second one down as well.

I emailed Pro-Filer on this, he will deal with it.

Late EDIT: I appologize if I seemed a bit rude to you Obi, I now realize you probably left the thread open on accident. At first I thought you did it on purpose & with that on top of the first problem.... well let's just say I wasn't peachy keen. :)

I agree with Obi that you should start this thread on LucasForums because I as long as Xenomorph, or any other moderator for that matter, says they want a thread closed down I stand behind them, just like I would like them to stand behind me if I had closed down a thread.

I realize that the guy will probably take more precaution in his future posts, but again, unless Xenomorph changes his mind, then neither will I. I appologize about the inconvenience.

young Obi-Wan Edit: :( ya, I forgot to close it after I had replied...

To what I see is a flame war one after another first one was with members. then this one is the moderators flaming each other in front of all the members. I do not want to see flame wars in our forum it just makes the place unplesent.

now this thread and the other one will stay closed.

JK2 staff refer to this thread if you do not have access let me know http://www.gamingforums.com/showthread.php?threadid=67729

Originally posted by WJTW Well, Xenomorph closed the thread just when the Flame Wars died down. This thread IS EXACTLY like the old thread. It not only shares the same topic name, it shares the same topic.

The moderators all discussed this in the staff only forums, the thread stays closed because it lead up to not only 1 flame, but 2. You DO NOT EVER re-start a thread a moderator closed. n0e said it himself "it is a big no no" & he is an administrator. If you guys want to have this conversation, take it to Lucasforums (JKII.net).

The lightsabre #4 thing is fine, it's not considered the same subject. Just DO NOT post about the eye color. Anything that happens in "A Mistake" & "A Mistake 2" stays there. I Appologize about the inconvenience. I know Lucasforums is more retstricting than JK2Files.com, but they have more traffic, for now.

Also, Yellow? Next time you PM me, have your PM or E-Mail available for a response please. Late Late EDIT: My apologies to Yellow, I was able to respond to the PM, I was tired & appearently looked over the correct button. I do not usually use the PM system.

Late EDIT: In case there is still a little confusion about why this, & other threads like it, are closed down, I am hoping this will clarify things a little more for you...

Originally posted by Marker0077 in the Staff Only forums I was under the impression that if a moderator makes a decision to close a thread down, it stays closed down. Xenomorph made the decision to close it down, until he changed his mind I was going to stand behind his decision on that because, if I had wanted a thread closed down, I would certainly appreciate the same respect from the other moderators. You don't go re-starting the same thread or else the same thing might happen again. Obi is saying that it's different in the new thread because he has learned his lesson. If you are going to allow users to re-start a thread a moderator closes, you may as well keep the original thread open, what's the point? I close threads down that have the same topic as other threads & leave what has become my new signature phraze ("search the forums before you make a post please"), & now, here we are contradicting ourselves by allowing users to start another thread with the same topic.

The administrators & moderators agreed. The thread stays closed.
