When you fight desann in the last level, he said something that made me think. :uhoh:   . He taunts "Does a jedi run from battle". Would a jedi actually run from battle? Would they see it to be their duty to continue the fight, or would they run to try to work it out before a confrontation occured? Or, would it depend on the circumstances? Like, 1 jedi vs 8 reborns, would he run becuz he is outnumbered? Or would he stay and fight, becuz its his duty?N e thoughts?
Well, the Jedi do live up to the motto, "Live to fight another day." When Qui-Gon and Obi-Wan in Episode 1 nearly got to the command center of that Battleship, two Destroyer Droids roll in, put up their shields and started firing. A fighter's weaponry or something equivilently powerful can penetrate and destroy it. Qui-Gon and Obi-Wan certainly didn't want to live their life in a standoff... "It's a stand-off. Lets go!" -- Qui-Gon ...So they use force speed, retreated, and, well, lived to fight another day.
We are running out of ideas for threads aren't we?
ON TOPIC: Yes I believe that a jedi should run from battle if the odds are not in is favor. I know this isn't Star Warsy, but in Stargate SG-1 in the episode where Daniel's job is to wipe out the Go'ould (I don't know how it's spelled) System Lords, Teal'c says towards the end that he believes that even he could not make it to the Stargate undetected. He obviously saw that the odds were way out of his favor. Same goes for jedi.
