How many of you would prefer a version of ForceMod II that's less configurable, in which you could join a server and know basically what the settings will be?

This would be a Pro version, and would eliminate many of the cvars that allow Jedi to fly around on jetpacks with a pair of dual sabers and dual guns with every force power.

My first thoughts on what would be locked in place: - Jedi vs Merc would always be on - Light/Dark force combine would only be thru the new Jedi classes - Paired dualbladed sabers would be eliminated - Maximum ForceRank would be Sith Lord equivalent, so you couldn't have every single force power - many other balance cvars would be locked in place, and the gameplay balancing would be close to 1.02 levels

Thoughts/Suggestions/Comments?

I don't really like the Idea of Jedi vs. Merc ALWAYS being on, but I guess I could just play ForceMod 2 and not Pro ; P

but Jedis with jetpacks is quite stupid. another thing I thought needed fixed was, when jedis pick Lightsabers & guns as their profession. They shouldn't get force or as strong of force because Lightsaber, Force, AND guns seems to get an advantage over Saber only or Mercs

and is there someway to make mercs more resistant to pull while in flight? cause it's WAY too easy to kill flying Mercs with a saber and pull.

and the grapple's a bit buggy but that's kind of a big fix, don't bother with it unless you want to.

and a way to holster your weapon as a merc! it'd be like saber down if you're looking for a duel. I've been killed 5 times chasing down someone for a duel as a merc and it was quite annoying! or some how make a white flag pop over your head when you're not fighting.

forcemod is the greatest thing to hit JK2! although i was gutted with the lack of certain things i know they may be impossible but if they could be done it would be brilliant

1)something to effect single player:like the force powers being used in single player or the jetpacks 2)the kamino assassin darts they were the only thing missing from the mercs arsenal 3)couple of model replacements: ive done it myself with the bryar pistol being replaced by the jango pistol available (makes more sense)

but over all i wouldnt have a pro version, just additions and slightly more customisable.

I am not really a fan of forcemod but if i did use it i would vote no to the pro edition.

1)You should always be able to pick. 2)I don't know what you mean by that classes thing but there should be an option to operate it. 3)I have always wanted that it can't be elimanated. 4)that would be good there is a mod that does this already i hope theres an option tho. 5)don't really care

So basicly it all needs to be oparational. And Anyway i guess i could just use the other forcemod if i do check it out sometime.

what would the dart do? be fired just like a gun? but it'd have only one bullet? go ahead and make a weapon mod for that and put it in your base folder.

and the add-on weapon models; that's just annoying because I have my own personal weapon model I've found that I like and I don't like ripping open pk3's so I can use the weapons I like, it's ALOT easier to copy the pk3 you want in Force mod into the Force mod folder, it makes the download smaller too!

I think what he's making is a hard core Force Mod user Mod not an update, I realize I made some update suggestions but I think he's just polishing it to Hard Core fans liking; like no Jetpacks for Jedi AT ALL: no annoying Yodas with twin sabers flying around ruining a perfectly good FFA. no Dark Rage and Healing or Absorb and Grip combos via Uber force. it'd make the game for fair for the people who want to play the mod and not go crazy Twin-Double-Saber-Jango-Fett-Full-Force-Uber-Trooper-style attacking anything that moves or has a chat box up.

In a nut shell; more civilized Force Mod

J-2000: Sorry, but nothing will be done for SP: it's all MP.

But balance suggestions are critical. The Rage/Heal combo is one i hadn't heard/thought of, thanks for the heads up. I'll look at ways to balance Mercs against push/pull while airborne, but it may likely remain one of the hazards of getting close to a Jedi. Jedi w/ Saber and guns will be rebalanced, along with some of the Merc classes.

I agree with Rasin' Heck here. Also, after trying forcemod online, I saw how stupid it can get with sizes in one server. People were using Kyle, and getting very small, probably even ant-sized... To me it's really cheating, and the size down should only be automatic with some models if allowed, such as Yoda or Jawa or something, or a size-up slightly with Dessan or Chewbacca...

So aside from Rasin's or my suggestions, I would agree with a Pro Edition. And if any don't, heck with 'em if they can't stand losing and only cheat with double lightstaffs, force powers and jetpacks and have fun with such. Also, if the healing takes time, I think the button should be held down, and the player should heal, just like in Single Player. Just so it is hard regaining health during a battle. Also, if you can, make the combat a little closer to the SP... Or make it a bit more SW-ish or something (but this isn't really needed).
