Is it possible to use JO models in other games? What I mean is, can .GLM models be used in other games such as GTAIII or Solidier of fortune...is there any other game with the same engine? (I know quake III has a similar engine, but it uses .md3 models not .glm)

Yep it's possible as long as it is one made of text files in other words quakeIII games like JO i can do it. It's easy sept the only quakeIII game i have is Jedi Knight 2:Jedi Outcast. Oh and to answer your qestion Yes you can!

Cool. Now how would I put this model into soldier of fortune II or quake III? Can anyone be specific?

It is possible, but requires some work.. it's not as easy as importing/exporting and you're done ;)

To go to Q3 you'd need to import the JK2 mesh and reanimate it and then export to .md3. You'd also need to segment the model into head/upper/lower as well as add appropriate weapon tags and body tags.

To go to SoF2 I'm not too sure.. it does use the GLM system too, but SoF2 has a more advanced version of it so I don't think you can just take a jk2 model and load it up in sof2. You'd again need to import the JK2 mesh, fit it around the SoF2 skeleton, weight it and then export to glm. You'd need the SoF2 SDK: http://www.sof2files.com/file.info?ID=5824 I don't know how to make SoF2 models so I'm quite probably wrong about the above ;) but SoF2 seems to have a few more modding tools and stuff so things might be a bit more different.

You'd probably need 3DSMax for SoF2.. but any md3-enabled modelling program is enough for Q3 (such as Milkshape)

I have a guy checking into it. We're making a space mod for SoF2 and also want to take models from JK2 and convert them to SoF2. But, he knows SoF2, but doesn't know JK2 that well. lol Maybe he and EXiT should get together and work it out.
