IMHO, the main criteria for being a 'lamer' are chat-killing, attacking the unarmed, breaking server-specific rules, and cheating using scripts or mods of some kind. And like Marker said, as all clan rules are different, you can't really compile a generic list. Some clans promote some stuff which other clans consider laming.
well if ya weren't RPGing in a fps then u wouldn't get saber down killed ;)
nah kidding (to an extent)
but some people got the game on the premise that this was a FPS taht was different cause it had a saber as a weapon. but it's STILL an FPS. and no you don't actually have to USE the guns to make it an FPS. the fact that they are in the game makes it an FPS. now sometimes i do actually just sit around and talk with some friends when i'm bored or just want to chat but i find an out-of-the-way spot to do this, not right next to a FFA pit. but this brings us back to the FPS part. q3 u don't b*tch when u get chatkilled, you don't b*tch about rocket wh0res. you let it happen. but in jk2 all of a sudden the saberists (saberist is the fanboy rpging idiots, not saber users) get all pissy that they get chat killed (waaa) in the middle of ffas so they made up that stupid saberist code. and u have the whole OMFG NO KICKZ!! thing. i mean the devs put knockdowns in the game for a REASON! to reward those who actually get it done, same thing for saber locks. omfg i'm gonna waste all that effort just so i can let him get back up!.
so yeah u can toss that saberist crap right out the window for all i care.
/me waits for flames

So you're saying its 'sad' for people not wanting to be chat-killed? Sometimes you can go in out-of-the-way locations and still be attacked. And whats all this RPG stuff you're talking about? I have never been on an RPG server, nor seen one. Its more 'sad' for people to consider a chat kill, or killing the unarmed, an earned kill and devote so much of their lives annoying people for the sake of a point they'll lose when they disconnect anyway. In a FPS with normal guns, its hard to tell whether or not a person is FFAing or chilling, thats why its generally accepted that its OK to run around blowing stuff up. Some people in JK2 prefer to simply hang out, and challenge who they wish to fight in a one-on-one duel. Usually they'll ask a person to stop attacking them when their saber isn't drawn, surely manners alone suggest to you that you should honor their request? Its far easier to tell whether or not a person is involved in the FFA action or not thanks to the saber. If its not drawn, its generally accepted that you don't attack them. Apart from anything else, I can't see any fun whatsoever in killing someone who can't put up a fight. Lol, preparing for flames :D. Hope nobody who does RP sees your post, there could be some nastiness. I don't think you should start generalising people who like one thing as idiots... when it comes down to it, everyone who games as much as we do is considered to be a 'geek' by the 'popular' culture. Least we can do is not start similar insults within our own group. I think... if no-one complains about you killing someone who is unarmed, not even the person who you killed, and it brings you some kind of sense of 'skill', then go right ahead. If they ask you to stop, I think you should. Don't just call them idiots. If someone chat-kills you, then you could either take the moral high-ground and leave them alone whenever they stop to chat, or you could simply chat-kill that particular person. I don't see what chat-killing everyone will do for anyone.
