jedi_pepot are you trying to see the size change from a saved game? if so you won't see a change unless you respawn that model.

if i was you and you don't know how to spawn then go to whatever level your using your model on and start that level new. saved levels that are saved automatically by the game are ok. like the doom_detention first map.

to spawn, open the level you want, then bring down console and type ~devmapall then type npc spawn luke or whatever model it is your trying to spawn.

if your trying to do the yoda thing just download my files at jk2files.com but wait for the darkyoda update.

Hey covax i just wondered something....what if i did a npcs.cfg file with just the info on the models i want to affect the size on?

like just the info for luke and not all the other npcs models that are usually in the list. I wonder if that will work?

I know there is a way to make a new npcs.cfg without replacing any models from the game, i just need to find that thread that explained it.

Nope, i didn't load a saved game, I was trying to change kyle into yoda with scale 75, kyle only shrinks during cutscenes, but during the game itself he reverts back to his large size

I just got an e-mail that kyle's size can't be changed, only the other players size can be changed!!!!! HEHEHEHEHEHE!!!!! Anyway sorry for bugging ya!!!!

hmm, did you alter the npcs.cfg file in both places it list kyle?

besides why make kyle small, he can't open doors or throw switches? you would be stuck on whatever level you use it on.

I tried kyle before i made yoda work but gave up and did yoda instead. it might not like to resize the player model and refers back to the default size.

It be a lot easier if all the direction to scaling a SP Model and changing it were compiled in one post, some of this stuff isn't making sense. (Sorry if I'm being bothersome):(

oh and another thing....

I'm still having trouble getting the npcs.cfg file to work correctly in the game. I go into the assets0.pk3 and I change all the npcs to the way I want them but when i try to save it won't let me overwrite the original npcs.cfg and I'm force to save the npcs.cfg file in another place. So I put the modified npcs.cfg in the base folder, start a new game, and type in the console exec npcs.cfg it says it execing but tells me there's a text over flow. Where did I go wrong?

put the original npcs file back into your assets.0 pk3 from the cd.

the reason it's not working is that your are trying to exec the same file that should be in the assets.0 file.

you need to make a pk3 with the npcs.cfg file in the folder ext_data.

like this, \ext_data\npcs.cfg

let's call the pak knight, ok?

then it would look like this in the file structure. knight.pk3

knight\ext_data\npcs.cfg

remember it will read only the changes in the cfg file that you want changed just as long as ALL npcs.cfg files contained in the paks in the base folder are the same EXCEPT the assets0.pk3, leave that one alone, don't change.

like i said clean out the base folder of all pks that contain the npcs.cfg file EXCEPT the one installed by the game which is the assets0.PK3 remove those paks that have the folder ext_data, those are addons made by fans, when the game loads it flashes the npcs.cfg file, then it finds the changed one you have in a new pak, but it won't load if it finds others in other paks, it will go back to the default npcs.cfg in the assets0.pk3

And you need to have the npcs.cfg that is in the assets0.pk3 file un-altered in order for the game to ignore it and use yours instead.

LOL, sure i just put together a conversion pak over 100mb with a bunch of people changes and sound changes.for my entertainment only.

some of the skins i made most are from the sites.

I just about changed everyone in the game. but i was working on making certain spawns use only certain sabers. I still need to find that info that will tell me how to make new npcs charecters. I know it's in the forum somewhere.

this will not be released, it's too big, i just did this for me. i want to put aurra sing in it as a new npcs.

next message let me know what you need help on and i'll try to post it. getting late i have work tomm.
