Sorry for yet another thread.
This one is bound to be noticed by someone.
1) When QG-Jinn and OB-Wan were swimming with JJBinks to the Gungan city, it was clear that their cloaks and hair would've been messed up. But upon entering one of the Gungan city's bubble like structures, their hair (especially Qui-Gon's) were completely dry. And it appears their cloaks are dry as well. Does the shields have an auto-dry ability? But that still doesn't explain the neatly kempt(spelling?) hair.
2) Unless I've mistaken, the scene of Obi-Wan damaging his lightsabre in water was removed, but it was supposed to show that lightsabres can't be activated under water. Now, why then, were the Jedi able to go underwater? I believe their cloaks were wrapped around their bodies, but it didn't seem to be the case when they were underwater. Why, then, didn't the lightsabres short out? Does this show that lightsabres can, indeed, be used underwater? I'm guessing this is exactly the reason why that particular scene was removed. Mr. Lucas filmed the lightsabre-short-out part, but then still wanted QG-Jinn and OB-Wan to get underwater. In doing so, it will not exactly be consistant with the earlier parts. Therefore, he removed that scene, and lightsabres being shorted out underwater is therefore, unreal. Raven was wise to just have Kyle deactivate the sabre instead of having it short out entirely when Kyle touches a watery surface, otherwise, they'll have a lot of explaining with regards with not following the movie.
I know, dexian... you're going crazy with my posts, aren't you? :D

Plz, Who likes WJTW'S posts
please post in THIS thread
P.S.: Do you count how many mistakes you found ?
/me is going mad!
Maybe they had a air bubble or something. Can't remember that scene well.
Maybe sabers operate like many electronics... you can get them wet, just don't switch them on till their completely dry.
ok u ppl should know this. those sheilds were ment to give off the idea that they dry everything and the fact that his hair was perfect was due to much mackup and things . now its a known fact that lightsaber blades cannot touch the water or theyll short out.(jk does not illustrate this i dunno y). so their sabers can go underwater as long as they arent ignighted otherwise ur screwed for sometime.
i love his threads. makes lucas look like a jack ass lol

I don't mind. If you don't like WJTW being nitpicky, simply don't open his threads.
Well, supposedly, those shields block all the water from getting into the city, correct? well, wouldn't it be most likely that when Obi-Wan and Qui Gon Jin walked through the shields, that the water on them was blocked, and left outside?
But the hair! The hair! Qui-Gon's hair would've been ruffled like hell. I don't believe the shields will have hair tidying capabilities. I think they only keep water out IF the water was just flowing smoothly on the Jedi's body. But the cloaks should absorb quite a lot of water and it simply isn't just a matter of blocking the water, though. Still... the hair! The messy hair! :D
WJTW
Those shields are there to keep the water out and yes the dry the things that pass through it. Thats why the cloakes weren't wet at all. For the hair, uhm ok if the hair was wet and it got dryed it usually would just fall down right?? SO it wouldn't be messy at all it would be flat. Lol maybe he uses some sort of special conditioner?? jk!
yea i think his hair would be pretty messed up. but i think the cloaks would be dry cuz if it takes out all the water then the water would be pushed back out of the cloak b4 they got in.
but the hair was complete and total theatrics
hey u should be a director make completely realistic films lol
