Personally i hate it for PC. The mouse swims on the map screen and there is no save option. This is really annoyng because the missions are too long!!

Theres a mod that enables the saving/loading so thats easily sorted. The mouse problem isn't really a problem. Just have a little patience. Overall the games pretty dam good. My only niggle would be to have been able to have a much larger campaign to encase playable other sides instead of just the federation.

I agree with MaP in terms of the campaign. I'm guessing 4 times as long (stand-point from all 4 races, espcecially as the Romulans featured so heavily in this game). I've almost come to the end of the missions, and I can say bar a couple stupidly hard missions, I thoroughly enjoyed the campaign and skirmish mode is quite a blast. It gets a thumbs up from me.

That sounded like one heck of a contradiction. I mean, you say it rocks, yet you want a total conversion? :p

Be warned that the saving and loading mod causes an Exception error when used with a large number of other mods. Legacy is very sensitive to change, which could be why MadDoc are not supporting modding, however people that have experienced the exception error have had the saving and loading mod. Those that removed did not experience again.

If targeting were as easy as it is in SFCIII, I'd reconsider, but movement and targeting controls are awful, and this is a rather fundamental part of any game of this kind. A few people are going to master it, no matter what. But games are not designed just for those few people. Look, I'm not asking for perfection, but if these basic issues were handled so much better so many years ago, there's no excuse for them to be handled so poorly now. Sure, some players are going to be a lot better than others, and some games are more challenging than others, but that's not what I'm talking about. It's as if they broke it on purpose.
