This mission *annoyed* me perfusely for a few days. Other than the Enterprise, what ships do you have in your fleet already? My set-up was NX - Enterprise Poseidon - Destroyer Poseidon - Destroyer Yorktown - Battleship The Poseidon(s) are the key here. Considering torpedoes bleed damage through, you can pump the enemy full of torpedoes and they'll take damage, on top of the phaser fire and the other two ships. Also remember that if you torpedo the engines, they're gonna take some time to get them repaired, giving the starbase more time to fire and giving you time to focus on the other ships. That being said, when I did it, the ship was on the border of the map and almost escape. It's mostly down to luck. This mission is NOT easy.

This is a big problem. I get the sense that, unless you ace a mission, you are going to be stuck in future missions because of the command points. Probably unable to finish the game. And then you would have to start from the beginning, since the original game does not allow you to save whenever you want. Design problem? I think so.

Problem, yes. But if you download the community mod, you'll not only be able to save INGAME, but you'll also be able to play any mission at any time throughout Legacy. :p If you're curious, here's the link: http://legacy.filefront.com/file/Community_Mod;74894

Did you lose all your other ships? As in, do you only have Enterprise left? If so, I would recommend starting from the beginning again. It's okay to take your time. Withdraw, save your ships then go back.

Excellent. It's a good thing we have capable people who can fix these design problems, and it's too bad they have to.
