I have seen many individuals who have ideas for starship designs, and also those that make there designs a reality in 3d. This thread is for those that want to show there models off.
Bear in mind that these models must be specific to star trek or anything you intend to bring into star trek legacy. modelling a bannana and posting it here isnt going to get you any kudos points!
Some of you know im working on a feature length star trek fan film. Here is my latest creation.
So feel free to post your models, remember, star trek based only, unless you intend to bring the mesh into the game itself. Play nice... and remember, dont just criticise wether or not something is cannon, the aim of this thread is to look at other peoples modelling techniques. :)
Here's my test version of my early Kelvin model. I'm thinking of seeing if I can get the primary fire to let rip with the turrets like with the aft of the Yorktown, while the secondary fire button's used to fire the heavy phaser nearest to your target instead of torpedoes which I don't believe this class has. I think this class maybe a sort of carrier as it's clear this ship's sturdy & from a picture I've seen that gives a glimpse of the internal of the shuttle bay that looks quiet big. It gives me the feel of the old WWII style carriers with gunners & command bridge in the open.
Can mesh be animated by any chance? I have a really cool project planned but this is the set back. Cheers Cata

I recommend talking to Moonraker, I think the latest exporter version 1.2 can export animations as well as breaknodes and stuff like that.
I've recently just got reletivly good internet access back as I've not had access since March. I've put this update up at Scifi-meshes.com, though I wasen't going to put this update here. I've since changed my mind after going through all my e-mails & finding a breif one "Sin87! We miss you!", it's mentions that I haven't been part of the forums for a long time. I know it's proberly automated but it got me thinking why not put them up here as well to show how I've updated this since the last update above. I'm hoping to complete the mesh within the next week & then get new textures done for it in the next month. The models presently around 35,000 polys, so sorry to those who where hoping to see this in Armada. The below images are a few of the most notable updates & as such the first of the smaller thumbnail pics will show old parts such as the secondary & nacelle hulls which I've ether rebuilt or am rebuilding at the present time. Also the textures are only quick & basic so I'll be re-doing them once the mesh is finished.
