It only got 2 stars on Amazon, but it seems like its pretty moddable, after all there's an FF forum and an FF files site to support modding.

So what do you think? I've heard it uses a revamped version of the Armada editor?

Yes, it uses a changed (changed and not revamped, because some features have been removed and others have been added) version of the map editor, since the whole engine bases on Armada. Furthermore there is a Mission Editor which allows the modders to create custom missions. And the whole menu bases on XML..thus it's also easily editable.

...first of all don't take this the wrong way or anything but I find it intriguing and hilariously ironic that you posted shortly after I made a remark about cheese on gdata's relatively new thread "a new project" ..:p.... ..as for the game itself(what do I think of it?) I'm hooked on it! :smokin: It's recently rare that a day goes by without me playing at least one large fleet dog-fighting game. Before I only heard about this game in passing and hadn't really cared much for it and any other game for that matter other than Star Trek Armada and it's second release, but after buying this game I seem to have found something a bit more realistic in terms of insterstellar combat other than Star Trek Armada 2(but of course I'm still into my A2 gaming as well, it's just that now I have more options)..:D.....

generally, Legacy lacks many features that are incoorperated in STBC, however, with the mods installed (eg, UUM, KoL and a few ships) its a much more enjoyable game

Cool. So its almost like the developers gave the community a framework to work in? To a certain extent, as I imagine not everything is moddable...

wouldnt go that far lol if it wasnt for moonraker releasing a m3d exporter, legacy would hardly be moddable. infact its hard enough with the exporter.

Yep. Support by Bethesda or MadDoc does actually not exist.
