in this thread i would like to discuss a very important issue, animation, none of us can animate, hell most of us cant even bone.
Here the thing, tanks and stuff animations are easy, infiontry we could use EA's but it sux, we may get some animated stuff from the WC 40k team, and if anyone out there can animate we need you!!!
The main things that NEED custom aniamtions are 1) tau crisis battlesuit 2)tau broadside battlesuit 3) kroot carnivores 4)SM dreadnot 5) ork dreadnot 6) spaceships for every faction, engine particle emmiters and stuff and anything else you can think of
Heres where the community can help out, think of stuff already in generals (especially for infintry) that move or look like the 40k things we need for the mod, so we can tweak em or maybe just reskin em for the mod.
Heres my thoughts, Ork grunts : Col burton, hes slightly bigger, has a knife animation, and looks more musuclar
Tau firewarrior : redguard, for the sole reason that they have rifles so their animations will look nice jarmen kell would also werk, but id prefer to use for pathfinders
Tau pathfinder : jerman kell, has a sneaky kind of movement and also holds his weapon like a rifle
Tau etheral: middle east civilian, the one with the robes, looks alot like an etheral and im pretty sure we agreed the etheral wont have any physical attacks so no attack animation needed.
SM : maybe rebel, i dont kno, i would like to say ranger, but it will be stupid to have SMs putting bolters over their shoulders

the Gla normal infantry would kinda be good for Sm because they already seem to be holding bolter type weapon but are to small I spose.

size of the model doesnt matter, you can just resize it and if we were to use a rebel we would have to edit the model anyway since it does look much like one.
