Can anyone help me out a little?

My team has been told to use the AttackSet that places Anti-Air Vehicles at 100 Priority and Dozers at 99. Yet all the team seems to do is go after the closest thing near the end of its waypoint. Any help?

Heres my Prioritys for the team

*** IF *** Team 'K.Raptor0' is all inside area 'CombatZone' (Surfaces Allowed: Air). *** THEN *** For Attack priority set 'RaptorAttackPriorities' set the priority of object type 'Anti-AirVehicles' to 100 For Attack priority set 'RaptorAttackPriorities' set the priority of object type 'Dozers' to 99 For Attack priority set 'RaptorAttackPriorities' set the priority of object type 'Power' to 95 For Attack priority set 'RaptorAttackPriorities' set the priority of object type 'WarFactorys' to 90 For Attack priority set 'RaptorAttackPriorities' set the priority of object type 'TechCenters' to 70 For Attack priority set 'RaptorAttackPriorities' set the priority of object type 'SupplyDepots' to 80

And Heres the script that tells them to actually use that attackPrioritySet

Any help would be appreciated.

4 issues here:

1. You might want to try applying the sript when they enter the area, not when they are built. Hence the irony? The second one is built it is already told to use the script, the fact that they enter the area has no effect with that setup.

2. Check and see if either or both of the scripts are told to end upon completion. They should actually loop or continue to run since the Raptors are being built over and over.

3. Plus, how are you building Raptors for a specifiec team (K.Raptor0). Or are you even doing that? Perhaps the script never even ran?

4. Both should be:

*** IF *** Team 'K.Raptor0' has been created. ***AND*** TRUE. *** THEN *** Have Team 'K.Raptor0' use Attack priority set 'RaptorAttackPriorities'.

You have to add the "TRUE" field in, otherwise they will not run when the level loads.

Nice to know some people help around here. I can't try it atm but thx i'll give it a go asap. Im building 4 teams of King Raptors so each can go after individual targets and take off seperate instead of waiting for each other to be built.

This forum seems to disallow me to edit posts once i log out :S Anyways i just wanted to add while running these scripts (my attack priority object list is rather large) it seems to lag once the raptors are built. But first i'll try the above first, As problems are tackled one at a time.

When we get home we'll try your better script. Can i ask ya if our dodgy scrupt could be the reason it lags a s soon a raptors are built and even more once they take off?

We got the template AI working straight away but its our map so id rather have a decent fighting USAF Gen and be able to brag "we made that" than jus a map with template AI even if it's harder to beat

Dukes Bro: That dodgy script is the exact reason for lag, the raptors are basically being told twice in a loop. Once when built and then continiously, then again while in the area continiously. I hate loops....

Oh, and you may want to revise your signatures, just thought I would let you know before the Admins get their claws into you......unless you have permission already from the admins, then just ignore that last sentence...lol

Duke: Yeah, once you log out the post is final, if you are logged in then it's a 15 min timer.

As far as help in these forums I am the last remains.......lol.....there are a few others that do come along to help, but if you browse through the earlier postings you will find that I have pretty much helped everyone...

I only wish I had Zero Hour still installed, that way I could help you all edit your scripts more directly. I tell you what, if you allow me to directly edit your scripting in your maps and return you a beta then that will give a reason to re-install zero hour...lol. Plus I just love to fix maps...

Man, you weren't kidding about time difference, just got your map about 5 hours ago. I was browsing around it before I had to leave and I did notice a few minor errors, but I will fill you in on all of them when they are done. All of them should be fairly easy to change, it's just a matter of getting them to work.

You see the actualy map is simple it's really just a playground for my scripting. Hope ya can fix it :type: and don't end up to nackerd :coffee:

Oh cool, I also have created some scripting sandboxes. Alot of them only tend to work for single player though....BAH! I want to get my undead army script to work for skirmishes. :uhoh:
