can someone tell me how to mod generals. i know the stuff to mod is in the data folder under the ini folder in a .big i opend that with notpad changed the price on a unit to see if it worked and generals zerohour wouldent start. so i updated it and now that .big file is gone. can anyone tell me how im suposed to mod zerohour? thx.

you need to get the final big program then run that on ini.big and extract to a folder of your coice i suggest one on your desktop. then edit these and place your edited ini files into the folder data/ini (which you will have to make) then run the game and it should all work.

Aside from .ini files you can add entierly new units by using G-max (www.discreet.com/products/g-max) to create new 3-D models. add them to the game using the program final big. and create code for them. (this all takes time to learn how to do. I'm still learning how.)

Ah......thx.I have always wanted to build my own sides with new units in Generals.
