Back in the day when I was playing Total Annihilation every day, I was stoked when I heard that there was a Mechwarrior Mod being made for it. But, when there was an announcement that TA2 was being produced the team making the mod cancelled it and stated that they'd wait for TA2 to be released then work on MW-TA. Needless to say, I was bummed. But after playing Generals, I thought to myself "Hey, this would make a great engine for a Mechwarrior mod!" So, here I am. Asking anyone if they are making a Mechwarrior mod for Command and Conquer: Generals. And if nobody is making a mod of it, then I implore you to consider doing so. Please? Pretty please? Pretty please with currants on top? :D

BTW: the factions I was thinking of would be this

USA: Comstar China: Inner Sphere GLA: Clans

You could pretty much have the infantry units stay that way...maybe get a modeller to make Elemental power armor for the Clan side. Anyway, this post is getting long. Cheers.

That would be a HUGE undertaking to do that kind of a TC. You would have to not only remodel all the units but also probably make new bones for them and everything. What a mess that would be...

I know it implies buying another game to play a game you aleady own (?) but the Unreal Annilation mod was released a while ago, I'm playing that until TA2 (you need either UT2k3 or 2k4). And the difficulty depends on how you want to make the units. I made mechs with 360* rotating torsos, that way all I had to do was bone the legs to move without stretching textures (most metal doesn't bend that easily) and declare the torso as a turret. It saves a lot of animating but looks a bit crap. Can't say I remember much of the BattleMech series so I don't know how they moved. EDIT: Yes, I know they've got legs and it would appear that's how they move normally, I meant arm movements and such.
