okay, first of all, thank you oh-so-very-much to anyone who is,has,or will work on, this mod, it is finally starting to make some real progress. next, since the PM service is down and the "model issues thread has been the main mod of communication between people who are working on it, this thread will, for now, replace it. let us pick up where we left off.:) When PMs are back up maybe an admin can close or delete this thread:uhm: oh, and any other comments etc. pertaining to the development of the mod are welcome, as long as it isn't off-topic and doesn't interrupt important discussion between the "workers":)
Monkey beating magic and all that... Told you I can't texture and it's doing my head in so I'm off the texture-ers(?) list. I can do the modelling and coding and... such, but I really need to find another job and texturing takes hours (said I was bad at it... and not the Michael Jackson bAd). Maybe if EA hadn't fired us (collective) I wouldn't have to waste my time doing loser temp jobs. Anyway, you need anything just shout, sorry about dropping out of the texturing. Can show you how to use ChilliSkinner if you want to try it yourself.
well then I guess if Pestilence can skin yours and my models we may be able to get some sort of system going here. It all depends on if he is willing to or not. Please note (both of you) that there is no pressure for time, I can wait for quite a while. So pestilence, whadda ya' say? I'll put you in the credits...:naughty: Oh, and later I'll e-mail some stuff about the sub. Panda, did you even start boaty and Naval1 yet? those are the most important. If so then if you could finish them (one or the other, if only one has been started) then you're off the hook as far as skinning goes. If not then something else will have to be worked out.:uhm: laters.
I unwrapped them... looked at the layout... laughed so hard I almost lost conciousness... then realised it was a bit too much. So you may take that as a no. Might seem a bit of a pain doing the models, sticking them in-game then having to go back later and skin/add particle effects but it will give you chance to workout unit scales and whether they all look right together. (I need to learn how to spell)
particle effects are piss(odd expression I know:rolleyes: ). thats easy, and I'm used to running all these crazy tests, today, infact, I had to redo the whole commandset.ini because something went wrong with america war factory; which I hadn't touched(go figure). Boaty and Naval1 etc. will be fine, I'll try to fix that sich. later. this may seem like I'm beeing a pain in the a-s, so please forgive me, but what about those missiles? They were quite good and in the model issues thread I say wich ones I need. Their skins just need to be pure white, with teamcolored fins, and if thats too hard then screw the teamcolores:) . after this all I'll ever ask of you again are just the models.;)

Fairy nuff, the models don't actually need to be tectured if you (I anyway) think about it, can just set the color in RenX, they transfer in-game... anyway, suppose this way you can always go back to the uvw map and... well, do nothing since I did such a pathetic job at unwrapping them.
