This threed is going to be dedicated to answer as many question as I can. These FAQ have been taken form over 8 different boards so this same reponce will be on various boards.
1.Q.when is the release date? A. Sometime in the week of July 6
2.Q.is there a webpage and a link to dl the mod A.Yes, it is under constuction I'm trying to gaphicly build the unit and tech trees for people so they know where to get their stuff since the trees are now about 3 time size that they where and some of the origenal tech trees have been reorganized.
Note: This is dependant if this goes offical or not it may be put on a EA server. But I will still have my own webpage but I'm unsure where I'm going to host the mod for purposes of bandwidth and space.
3.Q.Do I do all my own work? A.I am my own team(That is me and God) I do all the skinning, modeling, coding, sounds, Fx, Gui, and art for the mod.
4.Q.How did you get so much done so fast? A.Well for about two months I got next to nothing done as far as progress but what I did is create templates for myself that where complely debugged and I knew would work. I created templated for curtain types of unit/buildings/fx/etc then it is for the most part copy and past with changes in the code. However as said it took along time to make error proof template. I also crated tempate models that have all the bones(turrnets barrels mussles ect) that attach to the code there then I just make either the buliding or unit or project/etc models and incopreate the bones and it works everytime now that I got it to a sciens. So that technic has help me pump out stuff very quickly.
5.Q.Whats this copyright stuff A.I'm working to get my moddels copyrighted so that no one steals them and I have to do that before I release otherwise it becomes pulic domain. I'm only copyrighting models that are unquily mine or models that are more then 60% different for any other premade models because some of the building and units use parts or reminipulated meshes of other units/building that came with the game, so if it is to close to a origenal then I will not copyright it(there are only 2 units this way, they look different but they do not have the much change(ARU and Heavy Troop Carrier). As far as skinns go I have made a fare sum of skins but I couldn't care less if other people use those so they will not be copyrighted and I reused alot of skinns by EA to save on space and to keep the look and feel of the team coheirent(otherwise if all the models had there uquiely defined texted skinns we are looking a 150-200mb for this mod)so you can see why I took advantage of the 4000 text that are already there and as I said I have made my own texturemaps to but for buildings and some units I simply need to save space.
6.Q.What are my plans A.Well with the help of the community that ranges across over 8 boards somewhere around 8,000 people know about this mod I plan to try and make it officle with EA. Once done if people will connact EA'S people on this board with their feelings about this mod I believe that it could become offical. I would like to keep this mod free but if it become office I'm not sure what will happen their.
7.Q.Can you send cd's to people that don't have cable or dsl for a small price? A.Well that is something I had planned to do but if I take into account how many people may not have dl and what this mod I may get 6000 requests so where would I find the time to make 6000 copies of this Mod and send them through the mail. We are talk about tens-of thounsands of dollars to send that sort of thing through the mail and to buy that many cd.
Here are the options: If we can get EA to take this maybe they could make it to an Expanion pack and they could make all the cd's and what not for it. Or they could just make it a mod that they sell for like $10-15 and they would make a place on there webpage where you can order it for those who what to buy it.
Otherwise it will only be avalible for download and I'm sure there will need to be alot of mirrior sites set up to handle the huge bandwith.
8.Q.Can I beta test A. I already have all the beta testers I need and as far as testing this mod is not in beta for the testers will be testing a preproduction work this mod has already undergone tons of test.
9.Q.Have you considered balance A.YES, that has been one of my main focus that is why I have people not just from this board but in alot of place that are very zealous for their teams test and test and give me input tell each says that it is to their liking and seems far. There has been over 100 hours just put into balancing and still counting.
10.Q.Do you just code the mod all day? A. No I don't I work anywhere from 3-4 hours on it a day and some day's I dont get to it. The reason for this look into my life. I'm getting married in lest the 2 week So I need so spend time with my future wife and I need to get all the marriage stuff done fist which comes after I programmed all day at my job. So in all reality my time is very limited and I have not be able to work in the mod the lengths of time want.
Planns for my Future: If people like this mod enough I have figured out how to explot the coded events fx etc to do things that I did not think were possible. I plan to add a scond expantion that begings us into the future with mechs and DropShips(more space type stuff) that will be my costom design and total new aircraft for all teams and A navy a such as never been made before for all teams I have been working diligly to get it so that you navy can only be built over the water and I have figured it out with a very sificated unique idea that know has used yet. I also have been figuring out Ideas that would make things cronoshifting where you could transport units through untouchable portals of engery, and a slew of other things.
However mods made at this level take huge amounts of time. And I do already have a professional programming job so I would not be able to unless I got some sort of funding for all my time, because I would have to cut back hours a my job to get it done.
Finial Note: I would also like to address the pm ordeal I'm getting alot of pm's which is fine but I don't have the time to answer all the technical questions people have for there mods, etc. I'm not EA support if I were payed to answer question all the time and do that it would be different but right now I trying to get this mod done.

hey once it comes out may i have permission to edit it?
This mod as seen will have copyrights on it and if it gets offical it will get locked down even more which means if you edit and try and pass it off as yours that would result in legal action against you. Once you have your copy you can do privatley as you wish just just will not be able to even give away what you have edited.
not even if major credit iss given to u? couild i give it to some of my frineds? like one or 2?
I may actully get a licence to make an offical X-Pank I've talked with some people at EA if that is the case I will be able to better explain the rules concering this.
