Hi i was reading this. But this was for the original CnC General. I tried to look in the factionUnit.INI for Zerohours but there wasn't any Unit listed there. I was wondering if you could show me how to add or edit Zerohours Units. thank you =)

I gather you have extracted all the INI files from the INIZH.Big file? Which gives you the folder Data/INI, Click on the INI folder in there is another folder called "Objects" click on that and inside is a list of INI files with all the units from each faction GLA/USA/CHINA/Lazr_General etc etc Just play around and look in all folders as i have done and you seem to find what your looking for. Oh ok i think i figured out how to do this... In Zero Hours it doesn't need FactionUnit.INI because most units were made for it's unique side/generals. Thanks for the Reply =)

Well, take their Codes from the Civilianunit.ini and give them some Prequisites, their Ownerside and a Buildcost and Buildspeed, just like the "original" Units have it :)

ok...i'm not new to modding but i have a question. i've read though all the ini's i can think to...but i can't find the leaflet drop damage type ANYWHERE. i know it uses a special behavior but it has to use soe dmg type right? i ask, because i'd like to apply that dmg type to the ranger flash bang grenade in place of dmg type surrender. it's so stupid that one lil *pop* and a whole building of guys is dead. instead.....it would be disabled temporarily, and you could do a combat drop or attack it outright that makes more sense to me anyways. so if you can find out waht dmg type the leaflet drop uses that would help immensely. btw....subdual_building is what the microwave tank uses on a stinger site for instance, could this work on a garrisoned building too? and if it does....how much dmg should it be set to? it disables the stinger soldiers so it makes me wonder. any clue would be appreciated.

try the ECM tank type damage , but for infantry.

ecm uses subdual_vehicle.......is there a subdual_infantry that i didn't see in the list?

neoXFirst off general you need to download the renx tools. I would put up the link...But I dont remember what it is. Second...I beleive your problem is the directory still...You are putting it in c:\Program Files\EA Games\Generals\Data\INI\Object but I think that you may have installed the game to a different directory. Meaning the game directory might be in c:\EA Games\Generals\Data\INI\Object That could be one problem. Second off please dont put down UT2K3...ok? Third off you should attempt to put in the police car with rockets for now. Just to see if it works. Once you do that, then model your vehicle with a program called gmax (its availible at www.discreet.com) then get the renegade tools. Then take your new mesh and select all of the parts in a group (exp: To select your turret, select all of the parts that make it up, turn them to an editable mesh. Then repeat with the next section) after you do that. export the file to the w3d format (westwood 3 demensional I believe) using the program that came with the renegade tools called renx. To do that. Bring up renx and open your file. now that it is opened and has been sectioned off you can export it to w3d format...ok...the way you do that is you go into the file menu, click export and then you select w3d from the drop down box, choose a name, and say save. Then it will come up with a box asking you questions. O!!!!!!!! YES YES!!! W00T! I figured my thing out now...all because I tried to figure something out...YYYYYYYEEEEEEEESSSSSSS!!! UH huh, uh huh, uh huh...lol...ok...now...In the box that asks you some questions it will ask you if you want to export it as a heirical model or a heirarachel animated model...Thats the part I just realized. ok...now what you want to do here is this. o, wait...I just read your post against battattas mod...sorry...no more help for you from me...:-\...sorry, but you dont put down the god of this forum...figure it out man...I would recomend an appology. dude, he tried to help you...and then you put him down...get a life

Aww its a shame you didn't finish this, i really do need help putting my models in Grenerals... :( I dont know a thing about exporting W3D files and if i did whether it should include script, bones and skins :(
