I have the model and have edited all of the necessary inis to make a unit but when it is built it is invisible. I think this is because I don't have a skin for it, but if not, please tell me why.

having no textures makes the uniut show up with a default solid color
check the model in the renegade w3d viewer make sure it exported right
invisible unit means it can't find the file make sure it is named correctly and in the art/w3d folder
I have it in the Art/W3D folder and it exported fine... but it's still invisible. :confused: :confused:
A little of topic, but what program are you guys using to edit, skin and model units for generals? What are you using to edit the *.tga's and *.w3d's?
hmmm the only time I've had the problem was when I didn't have the model named correctly, I don't think there is any restriction on size or poly count either, heh unless it has a 100% transparent texture somehow assigned to it
Using gmax and photoshop 7 with a little 3dsmax 5 and deep paint/deep UV
Nevermind, I fixed it. It was named wrong :)
