Im getting myself making a mod :-D But as i barely understand much of the inifiles here what i need help with :D.

So far i have done the following.

Im tottaly reforming the Laser General as i belive he's a waste of space ^_^.

How do i give all laser general infanrty the following things.

All The following i want to only affect the Laser general.

  • All units can scale cliffs like Burton. (done but they seem not to use it unless your force move alot of the time) All units can scale cliffs like Burton. (done but they seem not to use it unless your force move alot of the time) All infantry Vetran Rangers have flashbangs at start & remove upgrade from barracks All infantry have chemsuit upgrade & remove upgrade from stratagy cent All infantry have advanced training at start & remove upgrade from stratagy cent remove Pathfinder from general promotion give burton Building capture & takes less time to place explosives New paradrop teams

Can anyone help?

thats all quite easy! i can do allmost all of it exept the cliff thing.. even my units have to be forced to climb the cliff before they actually do it...

as for the advanced training just do this: go to the laser general ini file search for the rangers/snipers/missile defender programming change these lines:

Behavior = ExperienceScalarUpgrade ModuleTag_04 TriggeredBy = Upgrade_AmericaAdvancedTraining AddXPScalar = 1.0 ;Increases experience gained by an additional 100% End change them to

Behavior = ExperienceScalarUpgrade ModuleTag_04 ;TriggeredBy = Upgrade_AmericaAdvancedTraining AddXPScalar = 1.0 ;Increases experience gained by an additional 100% End

so basically u just have to put a ";" before the triggerd by line

thought u shouldnt ramove the advanced training button, bacause if u do that, none of ur other units can be upgraded by it.

Ok i done your ranger thing but i noticed a few things. One...when i do that will that unit's icon that shows the upgrade be highlighted or not? as it wasn't for me. How do i make them start as vetran too?

How do i give Ranger Flashbangs & Buildin capture to start off with? Also how do i remove the Flashbang & Building Capture icons from the barracks?

ok heres what u want... first of all the side image that shows the upgrade that has been done will NOT be hilighted because it only highlights when the upgrade is done... even if ur unit already has it...

1) to make them start veteran: add this line to the units programming:

Behavior = VeterancyGainCreate ModuleTag_03 StartingLevel = VETERAN End then when u make em they'll start veteran!

2) give em flash banges from the start: change these lines in its programming: WeaponSet Conditions = None Weapon = PRIMARY RangerAdvancedCombatRifle End WeaponSet Conditions = PLAYER_UPGRADE Weapon = PRIMARY RangerAdvancedCombatRifle Weapon = SECONDARY RangerFlashBangGrenadeWeapon AutoChooseSources = PRIMARY FROM_SCRIPT FROM_AI DEFAULT_SWITCH_WEAPON AutoChooseSources = SECONDARY FROM_SCRIPT FROM_AI WeaponLockSharedAcrossSets = Yes ; This set is so similar to the default set that it can hold the weapon lock End

change em to:

WeaponSet Conditions = None Weapon = PRIMARY RangerAdvancedCombatRifle Weapon = SECONDARY RangerFlashBangGrenadeWeapon AutoChooseSources = PRIMARY FROM_SCRIPT FROM_AI DEFAULT_SWITCH_WEAPON AutoChooseSources = SECONDARY FROM_SCRIPT FROM_AI WeaponLockSharedAcrossSets = Yes ; This set is so similar to the default set that it can hold the weapon lock End

AND remove these lines:

Behavior = WeaponSetUpgrade ModuleTag_10 TriggeredBy = Upgrade_AmericaRangerFlashBangGrenade End (u just have to delete them)

3) to remove the flash bang button do this: (this is for the laser general) 1. Open the CommandSet.ini file 2. Search for Lazr_AmericaBarracksCommandSet 3. This entire block should come: CommandSet Lazr_AmericaBarracksCommandSet 1 = Lazr_Command_ConstructAmericaInfantryRanger 2 = Lazr_Command_ConstructAmericaInfantryMissileDefender 3 = Lazr_Command_ConstructAmericaInfantryColonelBurton 4 = Lazr_Command_ConstructAmericaInfantryPathfinder 7 = Command_UpgradeAmericaRangerFlashBangGrenade 8 = Command_UpgradeAmericaRangerCaptureBuilding 13 = Command_SetRallyPoint 14 = Command_Sell End

4. Change it to:

CommandSet Lazr_AmericaBarracksCommandSet 1 = Lazr_Command_ConstructAmericaInfantryRanger 2 = Lazr_Command_ConstructAmericaInfantryMissileDefender 3 = Lazr_Command_ConstructAmericaInfantryColonelBurton 4 = Lazr_Command_ConstructAmericaInfantryPathfinder 8 = Command_UpgradeAmericaRangerCaptureBuilding 13 = Command_SetRallyPoint 14 = Command_Sell End

So basically, u just have to remove: 7 = Command_UpgradeAmericaRangerFlashBangGrenade

XtC. this was what mr. mofo was talking about when he said use the edit button. so in case you didn't get it the first time, i'll reiterate:

USE THE F:Censored:G EDIT BUTTON WHEN YOU WANT TO ADD SOMETHING TO A POST. I AM SICK OF SEEING TWO/THREE/FOUR POSTS IN A ROW FROM THE SAME MEMBER. ANYMORE I WILL DELETE THE POSTS. REGARDLESS OF CONTENT. IS THAT CLEAR!!?
