Hello guys. I've just joined this forums, I've been dl mod and saw how people change things around. I could now change different weapons/weapons effects but that's about it!.. I wanted to ask you guys if you guys would please help out on how to duplicate weapon or create *rename* a weapon in the Weapon.INI. So that it wouldn't effect every other units who are using it. I want to create or make a duplicate of A10 weapon so that the KingRaptor for "BossGen" could use the machine guns and the missiles to attack both air and ground. just copy/paste the weapon.ini entry and rename it. then apply the new named weapon the unit you wish to feature it.

Thank you for replying AzH. I still couldn't make the Raptor use the A10Vulcan weapon. maybe because the Raptor wasn't designed with machine guns i don't know. When i edit it. The Raptor just fly around and couldn't target anything. But thanks for the reply.

I still couldn't make the Raptor use the A10Vulcan weapon. maybe because the Raptor wasn't designed with machine guns i don't know. When i edit it. The Raptor just fly around and couldn't target anything. But thanks for the reply.

You actually want it to fire out the A10Vulcan weapon with its crazy damage or normal raptor damage?

It should work......I tried it before.Have you missed anything out?

It is as easy as that (as i found out myself) ive made the Lazr_Generals laser cannon also fire the blacknapalm weapon as a secondary weapon. Just change things around and see what happens. Also im new to modding as well. Have fun Ghost

Just Set it as the weapon and if the target range is to small jsut make it bigtger

"I want to create or make a duplicate of A10 weapon so that the KingRaptor for "BossGen" could use the machine guns and the missiles to attack both air and ground." ok, here; after making the copy of the weapon (name it A-10VulcanWeapon2) find this bit of code in the raptor data : WeaponSet Conditions = none Weapon = PRIMARY RaptorJetMissileWeapon End (or find the nearest thing to it) and make it this: WeaponSet Conditions = none Weapon = PRIMARY RaptorJetMissileWeapon SECONDARY A-10VulcanWeapon i dont think you can get the gun to target aircraft though.

"You actually want it to fire out the A10Vulcan weapon with its crazy damage or normal raptor damage?" well i like the idea of firing 2 missiles at once with machine gun running in the middle as it fire at the enemy. well... if you copy from minigunners weapon.INI and past it under A10Vulcan, it would fire at anything =). AntiAirborneVehicle = Yes AntiAirborneInfantry = Yes AntiGround = Yes Did you mean to change it WeaponSet Conditions = none Weapon = PRIMARY RaptorJetMissileWeapon Weapon = SECONDARY A-10VulcanWeapon ?????? Well in that case i haven't tried it because i thought you need a special "COMMAND" to fire the secondary weapon. who knows.
