ARRRRRRRRGH! This is the most incredibly annoying problem EVER! I think its mod related
Heres the deal: Load a saved game which you were playing as a specialist general; eg, Granger. It loads fine and everything is how you left it.
However, if you load a saved game whered you were playing standard USA... It loads and all your helicopters begin to crash, and, the most annoying part of all, not one of your supply drop zones work. The timer hits zero and... Nothing happens. The C130s do not arrive.
W T F ...is going on with this!? SOMEONE: HELP!
Has anyone had this problem before and are any of the following INIs responsible (These are the INIs that have been editted): Commandset.ini commandbutton.ini objectcreationlist.ini locomotor.ini gamedata.ini specialpower.ini crate.ini numerous faction INIs. (ie, AmericaVehicle.ini)
I am officially begging.
I think this Thread needs to go in the Problems, Errors, & Help forum, but no i have never seen such problems before let alone heard of them. i can only htink of one thing right now, Do you have any mods installed? if yes get rid of it and test original Gen, ZH, then try the mod install again. otherwise im clueless.
WOOT. It only took me 7 hours to do it, But i fixed the problem. Im still not entirely sure what it was, but "something" in the system.ini file was corrupt. Process of elimination; I removed each INI file one by one and replaced it with their original (From the BIG file) until the error no longer occured. Funnily enough, I got to the System.ini file, and everything started working as it should have.
Replaced the modded INIs again and everything is now fine. W00t. no more dramas.
Glad to hear it Jimmy. Never even heard of that happening before. I would have picked OCL ini as the corrupt one from what you described. I would have been very wrong too.
If problems like this do occur, usually ( not always) you can find out where your errors are from loading WB. When you load up WB, very specific error messages come up, which can be most helpful considering that Game-Loading errors don't tell you much at all.
